Maltstock terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to everybody who is buying tickets for Maltstock and who is present on the Maltstock premises during the Maltstock weekend. Not abiding to these rules can result in exclusion from Maltstock.

Bookings and tickets

Maltstock tickets are put to name, and issued on a per person, non-transferable, non-refundable basis. Please note that the 14-day legal right of withdrawal is not applicable for this purchase. If for any reason you want to exchange your tickets with someone else you can only do so after permission by and through the Maltstock organization.

Maltstock rules

  • By buying a Maltstock ticket and/or being at the venue during Maltstock you agree to comply to these rules.

  • People without a ticket to Maltstock are not allowed on the Buitencentrum premises during Maltstock.

  • Only individuals of 18 years and older have access to Maltstock if they have a valid document of identification (see above terms and conditions).

  • Maltstock aims at acquainting visitors with other people and clubs and with a range of whiskies. The aim of Maltstock implies tasting, not binge drinking. The organization reserves the right to deny access to individuals or remove individuals from the premises:

    • Individuals under the influence of alcohol posing a threat to themselves and/or others;

    • Individuals causing disturbance;

    • Individuals committing violence, threatening others or breaking the law in any other way;

    • Individuals who refuse to comply with the organization's regulations.

  • Visitors are required to follow the instructions of the organization (voluntary crew and organization representatives) at all time.

  • Visitors and exhibitioners are not allowed to invite any guests of their own, on their own initiative, to Maltstock. If you intend to invite guests, please contact the Maltstock organization before the start of the event.

  • Visitors are not allowed to sell any items, goods, drinks etc. without written permission from the Maltstock organization.

  • Maltstock occasionally will take photos or movies of the event, or will ask others to do so on Maltstocks behalf, and can use these for promotional purposes. This usage includes showing photos and movies on social media. By buying a Maltstock ticket and attending the event, visitors give permission to Maltstock to use these photos and movies for promotional purposes.

  • Maltstock cannot take responsibility for, and cannot be held accountable for photos and movies of the event published by guests or others in any way, including social media.

  • Although drinks are included, our voluntary crew is required and entitled to withhold any alcoholic beverages from all people that are obviously drunk or are suspected of drunkenness. Our crew is also entitled to withhold other drinks or food if misuse is suspected.

  • The Maltstock organization will do its utmost to protect visitors and their goods during their entire stay at the event, however...The organization cannot accept any liability as a result of effects of the use of alcohol in the widest sense of the term; for damage to individuals and their goods, in the widest sense of the term, caused by whomever or whatever; for and/or as a result of transactions between visitors; stand owners and/or licenses, whatever the nature and size of the damage caused.

  • Visitors at Maltstock are responsible for their own belongings. The Maltstock organization and "Het Buitencentrum" are not responsible for any damage to, loss or theft of properties. Visitors are personally responsible for closing the windows, gates and doors.

  • Assignment to bedrooms/dorms is done by the Maltstock organization. Changing bedrooms without permission of the Maltstock organization is not allowed.

  • For hygienic reasons visitors must use a mattress cover and a pillowcase, even while using a sleeping bag.

  • Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the buildings and in the woods. There is a smoking area with ashtrays at the "Kiln" area. Smoking within the restricted area can result in an alarm registered with the fire department; any resulting fine will be yours to pay!

  • After 23.00 it must be quiet outside and between 01:00 and 09:00 it is not permitted to play live or mechanical music inside the accommodation and on the central square. Please respect the wishes of other Maltstock visitors to enjoy a good nights rest.

  • All exits, fire doors and stairways must remain free of obstacles and blockades.

  • Panic buttons, fire exits and fire extinguishers have all been sealed. Any abuse, like breaking the seal, will be charged to the abuser. The use of fire extinguishing resources must be reported to the Maltstock organization immediately.

  • The abuse of the fire communicating installations will be charged with a fine of at least 500,-. Please note that all costs resulting from unnecessary use of the alarm installation will be charged to the abuser.

  • It is not permitted without authorization and accompaniment of instructors of the accommodation to use any of the outdoor activities in the area.

  • When parking your car, please make sure to keep the access ways free for safety reasons. There are enough parking spaces. Keep in mind that parking your car is at your own risk; obtain valuable properties from your car.

  • Please be aware that the accommodation is situated in nature, therefore:

    • It is not allowed to make mechanical music outside the building

    • Only the Maltstock crew is allowed to start a campfire and a BBQ

    • During daylight you are permitted to walk on the ways and paths in the surroundings, please pay attention not to damage the nature.

  • No animals allowed on the premise during Maltstock, please ask the organization if you require the assistance of a service dog.
